Ingredients:

  • 1 large lemon (or 2 small lemons)
  • 2 cups chilled water (or soda water for a fizzy version)
  • 1.5 to 2 tablespoons Monq (adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of black salt (kala namak)
  • A pinch of roasted cumin powder (optional, for street-style flavor)
  • Few mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Squeeze the lemon(s) into a glass or jug, making sure no seeds fall in.
  2. Add monq and mix well until fully dissolved.
  3. Add black salt and cumin powder; stir again.
  4. Pour chilled water (or soda water) into the glass.
  5. Add ice cubes and garnish with mint leaves if you like.
  6. Taste and adjust — add more Monq or lemon juice depending on your preference.
  7. Serve immediately for the best refreshing taste!
